A Gift Of Hope

I am planning a party for my friends who passed the licensure examination for nursing. I want to welcome them in the real world of the profession. Since they will be performing an important role in the society, I guess it is good to give them something special as a prelude to their journey in the nursing world. Being a nurse is not an easy job for you really need to have the qualities of a loving and caring person. You ought to have the passionate drive to attend to all the needs of your patience. My mother is a retired nurse and she told me that she is very proud of her profession. When I was little she will bring me to the hospital to have an idea of what she’s doing. I have been exposed to some of her duties and responsibilities. That’s the reason why I became a nurse as well. I am so thankful that I got this job at a nearby hospital.
But you know what it is really difficult sometimes when you see dying or suffering patience. During my first year as a nurse, I cannot count the times where I really cried a lot. I have weak emotion but my mother told me to control what I feel. I did but I still get carried away sometimes. One time there is this child who is a cancer patient victim she’s so adorable amidst her serious illness. Every time I check on her I can always see her smile and happy. She will always tell me about her dreams and that she wants to be a beauty queen someday and her mother will assure her that she will wear a crown and feel like a real beauty queen. Her mom will encourage her to become strong and take her medicines. I can feel that she’s getting weak every day. 
So one time it was her birthday we decided to give her a special princess themed party. The hospital staff bought cakes, balloons, and gifts. I purchased a special personalized magazine frame with her picture and a crown. I was browsing online when this groomsmen gifts and bridesmaid gifts site took my attention. I just like the idea that it is personalized. I want to let the little girl feel that there’s always hope for her to fulfill her dream. I know that she’s really happy that time for we see her smile all the time. She told me that it was her best birthday party ever.
