When I was in high school, we were assigned by our teachers to help in give a gift project for less fortunate kids. It was to remind us to share the things we have in life to those who have less in life. These children are victims of typhoon, fire, or circumstances like abandonment by their parents. Lily is a simple girl. She is shy yet very smart. At her young age, she is a victim of maltreatment by her parents, that’s why the government took over to save her and put her in child friendly environment. Despite her bad experiences, she still manages to have a positive outlook in life. I was inspired by her life story that I gave her a special gift on her birthday.
